ISABEL DASSINGER has developed a reputation in the aesthetic and wellness industries for the last 30 years. Her core belief that “the body maintains its own ability to heal and regenerate” has shaped her work in the industry. As an authority and skin care specialist, her personal touch, accessibility and teaching has benefited skin care professionals from coast to coast. She is currently a Licensed Esthetician, the Founder and President of HEALING ZONE WORLD (HZW) and past President of Diamond Aesthetic Systems - an innovative company that distributed holistic skin care equipment, including microdermabrasion.

For 15 years she owned the north-New Jersey based HEALING ZONE SPA & WELLNESS CENTER, one of the state’s first breakthrough integrated centers that focused on the intrinsic link between holistic and allopathic medicine. The center was recognized for including the emotional and mental effects on the physical health of the body. Early in her career as a Public Relations executive specializing in music, entertainment, fitness and beauty her exposure to these industries broadened her interests.

Isabel was a contributing author to The Estheticians Guide to Outstanding Esthetics. In the book she discusses merging technology and aesthetic products via progressive methods to restore beauty, energy, vitality and health. She is also credited with being one of the original pioneers in microdermabrasion technology and many of her initial skin care protocols and methods have become industry mainstays. A sought-after instructor, speaker and name in the industry, she also carries on the work of her mentor, Miki Giunta, who created the first U.S. Day Spa in 1984.

A further look into her history, she was the Director of Public Relations for AMF introducing Heavyhands (using “free weights” in exercise), worked with AMF Head Racquet and the early use of mental visualization in sports therapy. Thereafter, she worked with Dr. Irving Dardik, a founding member of the Olympic Sports Medicine Council, who instituted Rest Interval Training (RIT) and the use of heart monitors in athletic training.

Throughout her career, Isabel has developed equipment and products to meet today’s skin care needs. Her approach combines energy science and modern technology. For example, she helped develop the SALTERNATIVE, a safe and exciting Sea Salt Microdermabrasion system focused on cellular health.

Although Isabel is known for her work in the aesthetic industry, she also partnered with her husband George, running an indie PR/Marketing company representing such clients as: ZZ Top, The Delta Blues Museum, The Monkees, Michael Bolton, Restless Heart, Patty Loveless, IMG Models, and supermodels Niki Taylor and Tyra Banks. The couple met while they were executives at Rogers & Cowan Public Relations representing several notable clients including Aerosmith, Wayne Newton, David Foster, Cleo Laine, The Beach Boys, Jacqueline Cochran, Redken Beauty, and many others.
